Karaoke was created in Japan in the second half of the XX century. In 1971, Japanese drummer Daisuke Inoue was unable to engage the public during a break of a rock band performance. Then he created a device that could reproduce the music of a song without words. The musicians gave the text to the audience while they rested while the crowd sang with pleasure. Only 15 years later karaoke became popular.
